Glory of the West are celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year.
The side was started at Exeter University as part of the big morris revival in the 1970s. We were delighted to have some of the founding members join us for our first event of the year and we hope to see lots more ‘old’ dancers as the year goes by.
We kicked off with a games evening – flapping fish, tangles with string and lots of chocolate. Last weekend saw us strutting our stuff at a Bollywood workshop with the lovely Karina Gracia.
We have lots more lined up and are hoping to fit in 40 activities, including our regular dance outs. If you see us out and about this year come and wish us Happy Birthday.
